Software Developer Proposes to Girlfriend With a Smartphone App He Created Himself

A Regina, Saskatchewan software developer designed a whole new way to propose marriage and used it himself to pop the question to his girlfriend, high-school teacher Teighan Rhea Stoyko, 26.

After David Kossatz, 27 was done creating the hunt-themed nine-level Facebook app, he gave it to Stoyko to be his first beta tester.

The word search included "love" and "devotion". The hunt sent her to a friend’s house to find a pass phrase on her dog’s collar. The location of the final clue was the garage, where Kossatz waited for her to ask her to marry him.
