2012 Olympics: Olympic Flame Extinguished

The most recognizable symbol of the Olympic games, the Olympic flame, was seen unlit at the stadium Sunday evening.

Organizers of the games have confirmed that the cauldron had been put out to allow it to be moved to a different part of the venue outside the stadium.

The fact that the flame won´t be visible for people who didn´t buy tickets has attracted criticism.

"The fact that the flame won´t be visible for people who didn´t buy tickets has attracted criticism."

Why didn´t they think of this in the first place? they aren´t supposed to extinguish that flame until the Olympics are over.
