Five cast members of "Modern Family" sued the show´s producer 20th Century Fox Television to void their contracts.
Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell didn´t show up Tuesday for the first readings of the fourth season. They claim their contracts cap the raises they receive for each additional season of the show.
The actors each are paid about $65,000 per episode. Only Ed O´Neill came to work Tuesday as he has a special contract and earns a reported $100,000 per episode.
