First Movie Filmed in the Air

The romantic comedy "Departure Date" was the first movie to be fully filmed in the sky. Filming took place in regularly scheduled "Virgin America" flights.

"It was 20 hours of filming, three flights, four countries in eight days. The toughest part about it was sleep. One flight builds on the next," Rene Rigal Executive Vice President of Film for Virgin Produced says.

The 30-minute film stars "Mad Men" star Ben Feldman and "Hall Pass" actress Nicky Whelan.
