Italy Threatens Apple with Closure Over Warrenty Issue

Italy´s antitrust watchdog has opened new proceedings against Apple for failing to respect the country´s consumer law that gives a free two-year warranty for electric products.

The electronic giant could face fines of up to 300,00 euros (($378,200) and possible temporary closure of its Italian stores.

"We have introduced a number of measures to address the Italian competition authority concerns and we disagree with their latest complaint," Apple commented on the order.

  Apple will Pay the Fines

Before they extend the warranty. 300,00 euros, they make more than that a Day. So I wonder if that is a month or a week fine, if it is a month, hell, that is nothing to them. Most of their products like the ipads and iphones and ipods, batteries crap out before 2 years, if the person is a heavy user, they want people to UPGRADE EVERY YEAR!!
