A federal jury in northern California found that Toshiba conspired to fix prices of liquid crystal display (LCD) panels.
The Japanese multinational electronics corporation is demanded to pay $87 million in damages - $70 million to consumers and $17 million to manufacturers that used LCD panels.
The case stemmed from a lawsuit filed by customers who argued Toshiba and other LCD producers participated in a conspiracy to fix the price of LCDs sold in the U.S. The company denies any wrongdoing.
