The New Mexico mother who was arrested in front of her young children and spent the night in jail for not returning a "Twilight" book and DVD from the library has decided to sue her city.
"Ms. Teel and her small children have been traumatized, humiliated, embarrassed, subject to ridicule, and otherwise suffered pain and suffering and other damages as a result of the wrongful arrest," Lori Teel“s lawyer says.
The woman was arrested and handcuffed June 12 in front of her five small children. She says all notices regarding her summons and warrant were mailed to a childhood home where she had not lived for years.
