A federal jury has rejected a lawsuit filed by actor Stephen Baldwin and a business partner that claimed Kevin Costner cheated them out of millions of dollars in a BP contract for oil-cleaning devices after the 2010 spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Baldwin, 46 and his partner were seeking $17 million in damages, but the Louisiana judge sided with Costner.
"The jury was doing their best to understand everything in a... Seemingly complicated issue. They were really smart," Costner said and added that it "was my luck that they saw the truth of the story".
