Burger King to Open 1,000 Restaurants in China

The world´s second largest fast food chain announced plans to open 1,000 restaurants in China over the next seven years.

There are currently 63 Burger King stores in China. Its competitor McDonald´s already has 1,400 restaurants in the country.

For the China expansion Burger King is joining foces with Cartesian Capital Group, a New York private equity firm, and the Kurdoglu family of Turkey.
