Last week "Angry Birds Space" got downloaded 10 million times in 3 days showing the popularity of the mobile game.
Rovio, the developers of "Angry Birds", are announcing the release of two spin projects: a feature film and a 52-episode series.
The series will be 3-minute cartoons based of the cute but aggressive feathered characters. The movie will further try to explain why the birds are always mad at the pigs and piglets. The game is based on the disappearance of some eggs.
The head of animation at Rovio told the MIPTV conference in France the cartoon series will be released this fall and the movie released in two years. "Angry Birds" was originally released in 2009.
