Surveillance System Developed That Saves All Faces on It´s CCTV Camera and Scans 36 Million Faces a Second

Hitachi Hokusai Electric is releasing, within the next year, a CCTV camera system that stores a biometric record of every face it photographs and can scan for that face at 36 million faces per second.

The system will enable large retail stores, the government, Railways or any business with a extensive surveillance system to identify all faces on it´s CCTV records.

Potentially the government could use a Facebook photo or any picture to "find" the individual.

  That´s hard to believe

Scanning at 36 mil per second means if it had the whole population of the planet in its data base it would only take 3.2 mins. to scan.
