BP Reaches Deal to Pay for Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill

BP said it reached a deal with the plaintiffs involved in the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. All that are damaged by the April 20, 2010 explosion of the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig and oil spill will be fully compensated.

This has been confirmed by a group representing the plaintiffs in the case. "The settlement is to be fully funded by BP, with no cap on the amount BP will pay," the group also said.

The British oil giant expected to pay out about $7.8 billion to settle claims from thousands of plaintiffs.

i did my research... AFTER 2010 (the year of the oil spill), BP posted over $11 billion in profit for the first quarter of 2011.

They are not hurting by this. They are laughing their asses off all the way to pay this "bill".

  Meanwhile...

here in California BP has decided to hike gas prices to over $4.50 in some areas...how´s that for a business model...cause the biggest ecological disaster in human history and have your customers refill your pockets and bank account´s while it takes almost a year to come to a settlement that should have been resolved the day of the incident!

I don´t want to live on this planet anymore -_-
