Factory Output Soared 1.5 Percent in January

Factory output in the U.S. rose 1.5 percent last month, according to an upward revision by the Federal Reserve.

Overall industrial production, output by mines and utilities as well as factories, however, remained stable.

More output helps drive the economy. Companies are still hiring and the upward economic trend is also visible in the auto industry.
