Clearwater FLA., Police still haven´t pressed charges against a family that kept their granny in a storage unit since 1995. Improper disposal of a body is a crime under Florida law.
Having been current for 25 years on the storage fees, the family never moved grandma into a proper grave. The granddaughter, after learning the unit might get auctioned off for late rent, told the storage unit not to auction off grandma.
The Clearwatwer Medical examiner stated the body had been "properly processed" for burial but the final arrangements were never made. On searching the storage unit, police found a blue casket but nothing else illegal.
