MTU Aero Engines and Sagem Plan Joint Venture

German aircraft engine maker MTU Aero Engines and French Sagem Safran Group intend to set up a joint venture for civil and military software and hardware.

"The German-French joint venture facilitates an efficient and long-term safeguarding of contractual commitments and offers access to a variety of future development projects in the aerospace and defense industry," MTU says.

The new company is planned to start its operations at the MTU campus in Munich soon.
