A listeria contamination that affected 146 people in 28 states has come to an end, the CDC said Thursday.
Thirty of those 146 sickened people died of the infection, which was caused by Rocky Ford cantaloupes from Jensen Farms in Holly Colo.
"Available evidence indicates that this outbreak is over. However, Listeria is still an important cause of human illness in the U.S.," the statement by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says.
