"The Lady", Suu Kyi, Reenters Myanmar Political World

After she won the 1990 Presidential election, Aung San Suu Kyi was held in house arrest by the ruling military junta which refused to acknowledge her victory.
Friday Suu Kyi´s party, NLD, re-registered for the elections.

Following more liberal moves by the still ruling military junta, it is felt that Myanmar, also known as Burma, may reelect the Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
Sec. of State, Hilary Clinton, will visit Burma about December 1st, with hopes of forging ties.

Obama placed a call to Suu Kyi to discuss the Myanmar situation. Luc Besson made a movie "The Lady", which is the story of the marginalized Suu Kyi. It stars Michelle Yeoh.
