U.S. Gov´t Warns of Terrorist Threat Involving Small Airplanes
While the FBI and Homeland Security say they have no specific or credible terrorist threat timed to coincide with the 10-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, they have issued a warning about threats to small aircraft.
In a five-page bulletin circulated to law enforcement, the federal agencies say al-Qaida was known to be considering ways of attacking airplanes or with airplanes as recently as earlier this year.
The alert said that terrorists´ ideas have included renting private planes and loading them with explosives. It also says that al-Qaida and affiliates remain interested "in obtaining aviation training, particularly on small planes".

Though I want to call bullshit on the Homeland Security and also naturally call bullshit on the conspiracy theorists, there is some level of threat here. I started my pilot´s training to pick up my private pilot license and I shortly after I intend on certifying IFR (instrument flight). All I had to do was email a local instructor that I was interested and bring the money. No background check done, no questions of why I want to fly. Nothing. Now, I am a white boy with no towel on my head but, still, neither was Timothy McVeigh or the unibomber and they were considered terrorists by Government standards. I am not a terrorist. I have no plans to hurt anyone. I am just taking on an expensive hobby. But, how do these flight schools know that without asking or at least doing a standard background check and having some guidelines on who to teach and who to turn away. Additionally, if you fork over the 10 grand for flight training and have a pilots license and want to rent a plane, all most airports ask to see is your pilots license and insurance. You can pick up insurance for less than a couple hundred bucks a year for flight. My point, it is easy to get in a small plane. Small airstrips have WAY less if any restrictions on who gets on board. And anyone can land in a field and load the plane with the destructive payload (anfo is easy to make). You guys can call bullshit all you want but if some asshole really wants to do it, we don´t have the measures in place to catch it in time and it is entirely too easy of a task to put together for the bad guy.

You´re correct. I might also point out how easy it is to obtain a car. In fact, one can purchase automobile insurance and an automobile without a driver´s license. Automobiles have been successfully used in bombings, so what should we do to insure that no terrorist obtains a vehicle?
Well, according to the patriot act the way you handle that is you run a background check on anyone buying a "New" car without a loan. Now that the terrorists know about that the law abiding people who have some money saved and don´t like making car payments are the only one´s getting the background checks under that clause.

Multiple scientific peer reviewed studies have now showed the debris and dust samples to contain unexploded thermite chips. Yet scientific evidence and the laws of physics are thrown out on their head when people talk about 9/11. You can draw your own conclusions but at least look at the evidence.

So grains of only 100nm containing traces Iron Oxide (rust) and aluminum are proof of thermite. That´s a stretch.
@silencedmajority You´re right. VBIDs are just as much of a threat. This is a pointless argument because what precautions can we take for any of them? Air, land, or sea. I bet that Major on Fort Hood would have passed a background check with flying colors. How many other terrorists could get right by with a background check too?

Conspiracy theorists? Politicians take bribes openly. The rich are FINALLY starting to complain. American taxpayer money is used to fund wars we never wanted. The most heavily funded government agencies are those responsible for reinforcing the absolute need for more government intervention, despite claiming to be fueled ´democratic´ ambitions.
Since when has fact been a conspiracy? Or are you still waiting for this information to appear on your television screen?
Where would these compounds come from then? I dont picture most NY subway riders or rescue workers or anyone that would be in those building carrying this stuff around. Not to mention the massive amounts that would be required to find samples in in all that dust spread over such a large area. We are talking about millions of tons of dust and debris and samples coming back positive for this compound sounds highly irregular at best. Pairing this evidence with the video and audio evidence of of molten metal spewing out the side of the towers, NASA thermal footage showing molten metals, , firefighters reporting molten metal in the debris, and audio records of the firefighters and police recording secondary explosions within the main 2 buildings. I think it would be the most obvious answer that there were explosions in those buildings and these compounds are directly related in some way.
The obvious test would be to try to demolish a much smaller building with similar materials and see what the dust samples returned. However, that could prove quite expensive. Computer simulations may give a glimpse into this theory but it is still hard to tell.
All I can say is that, there are still more questions than answers, and the answers we do receive from the powers that be are half answers at best. The name "ground zero" itself seems to only give us an answer as to how many people on the ground have received justice in the last 10 years.
All I have ever demanded is a true criminal investigation into these events. An investigation led by politicians will only result in a political and corrupt response. To think otherwise would be highly naive. I do not know what happened on that day but I can tell you with certainty that what we know to have happened is only a very small part of an untold story.

I just got home from a trip to Alaska. The Alaska ferry does not allow you to put your luggage anywhere as unattended bags will be considered to be a threat, even though it´s NEVER BEEN ONE.
I´d like to walk into town and have a nice dinner, but can´t lug all my stuff that far, so no dinner, and the resteraunt lost a customer.
When the ship came in the luggage cart arrived. A walk on passenger either puts their bags on the cart or carries it on board. No bags are inspected, no one looks at anything, no bomb sniffing dogs, nothing.
