Terrorist Plotter Shouts Name of Fort Hood Shooter in Court Appearance

In his first court appearance related to his alleged terror plot at Fort Hood, Army soldier Naser Jason Abdo shouted, "Abeer Qassim al-Janabi Iraq 2006; Nidal Hassan, Fort Hood, 2009" to the media as he was led out of the courtroom.

The latter name is that of the accused Fort Hood shooter charged with killing 13 in 2009. The first name was that of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl who was raped and murdered by U.S. troops in 2006. Seven soldiers have been sentenced in that incident.

The outburst was Abdo´s first indication in public of the possible motive behind his plot, which included attacking Fort Hood and blowing up a local restaurant. Abdo was granted conscientious objector status because of his Muslim beliefs.

I had to look into that for myself. They were all given life sentences.

I´m usually against the death penalty, but in this case ... let me just add that the soldiers also murdered her parents and burned down their house. The only thing that saved her brother was that he was at school.

What´s crazy is this Naser guy used to be in Ft. Campbell, KY with me. He lived in an apartment just a couple down from me and a friend of mine and we made some... slightly stereotypical jokes to each other about him... didn´t think they would turn out to be true...

Abdo was in a good friends of mines unit at Ft Campbell. You probably know him too then. PFC Shan Reifert. He was KIA last year :(

Anyway as I said, Adbo was in his unit. Shanes dad was just saying that Abdo was/is well known to a lot of people in the Army and certainly the Pentagon.
That he was a rock solid soldier. Completely squared away until his father was released from prison, (terrorist charges). Then the kid went completely 180 degrees.

He also did phone interviews with Al Jazeera WHILE ON DUTY apparently. That is what Shanes dad was saying anyway.
