Bomb Attack in South Afghanistan Kills 18 People

A bus rolled over an explosive device in southern Afghanistan today. At least 18 people were killed in the attack while several others were injured.

The bus was on its way from Nahr-e-Saraj to Lashkar Gah, a Helmand official said.

Lashkar Gah means "army barracks". The territory was recently transferred to national security forces when NATO troops left the region.
