UN Endorses Equal Rights for Gays, Lesbians, and Transgendered Persons

For the first time the United Nations speaks up for homosexual and transgender people as it has passed a historic resolution saying there should be no discrimination against persons because of their sexual orientation.

"This represents a historic moment to highlight the human rights abuses and violations that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people face around the world based solely on who they are and whom they love," Hillary Clinton said in a statement.

The U.N. Human Rights Council passed the resolution with 23 votes in favor and 19 against.

	Weren´t they already human?
	and consequently endowed with the same human rights as everyone else? True rights are not something that can be given. The fact that the redundant, recalcitrant and ridiculous, self-important entity like the UN would deign to address these people as if in afterthought is as pathetic as it is ineffectual - much like the United Nations as an institution.

	Most of the ignorant people who hate homosexual and transgender people also believe in a God who is all loving. They can´t see the paradox nor the fact that their God created homosexuals and transgenders. They incorrectly say it is a choice to be one. That´s how they try to explain it away. What simple little minds bigots and homophobes have.

	In that big, chaotic thing out there that I just think of as The Not America, the U.N. apparently does have some clout, and a recognition such as this can give ammunition to those fighting for recognition of their rights in lawless places.

	assessed this as entertaining! It never ceases to amaze me how any group of people feel they have to actually endorse and human being sexual preference. The older I get the crazier the world seems. :/

	What I HATE...
	Are people who think they need more attention and entitlement then everyone else by complaining they are being singled out and discriminated against simply because they "THINK" people are talking about them in a bad way. When in truth most people could care less and do get in an uproar because idiots must rise up and say "I am different because of XXXX and deserve more!". Funny thing is most of these people who claim they are different aren´t, they just can´t handle things that happened to them in the past and have to escape into being something they aren´t. Or even worse DENY who they are for so long and and stomp on those who actually are different all the while denying their own truths. Just accept who you are and don´t either lie about it or shove it in everyone else´s faces, we all have similar issues and bare our own crosses and don´t need to tell everyone about it we just deal. No blaming others for being made fun of in school and then claim it was because of being gay, nerdy or a different color. Some people just like to pick on others because they are assholes, get over it and accept that X amount of others are inherent idiots no matter if you don´t have differences!

	It seems to me...
	This would be less of an issue, if people didn´t have to worry so much about not getting beaten, maimed or killed, for being Human... People don´t much care for being put in that sort of position, and have a tendency to group up and say "No" when that happens... Maybe we wouldn´t need such a wide variety of Human Rights groups, if we didn´t have so many Religious Right (I´m Religious, so I´m Right) groups, trying to remove everyone and everything that doesn´t fit their ideologies, from existence.
