Nintendo: Wii U Can´t Play Blu-Rays or DVDs

According to a statement by Nintendo, its latest invention Wii U won´t be able to play Blu-rays or DVDs. "We feel that enough people already have devices that are capable," Nintendo´s president explained.

Although the device includes a capacity of 25GB, watching movies won´t be possible on it. Experts suggest that Nintendo tries to keep the price as low as possible.

Nevertheless, it is expected that Wii hackers will come up with some kind of homebrew software which allows Wii U users to watch films on their consoles.

  I see their point

I have a ps2 and ps3 plus my brother has a Xbox so we really don´t need a Wii to play movies. And if it´s cheaper all the better
