"Planking" describes a rigid pose in which the player lies face-down and stiff as a wooden board on an an unusual spot, takes a picture of it and posts it on the Internet.
Planking websites have many fans (over 200.000 "like" the respective Facebook page). The trend has reached the public as a 20-year-old Australian died while planking last week. He fell off a high-rise balcony.
