Texas Bill Makes Offensive TSA Pat-Downs Illegal

After a brief but noisy debate, the Texas House late Thursday night approved a bill that makes it illegal for anyone conducting searches to touch “the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person” including through their clothing.

Republican Representative David Simpson, who sponsored the bill, said he believes it will prevent TSA officers from treating travelers like criminals.

There was little opposition to approval of the bill, and supporters applauded.

Or perhaps they are professional perverts...who would enjoy the getting patted down, in public, themselves.

  Good job Texas!

It´s simply ridiculous that we have to continuously introduce legislation to compensate for the previous legislation, et al.

Almost as ridiculous as creating laws that tell government they are bound by laws they should have already been following....

There´s a reason the constitution is not a "living document"; not a single party would have ratified it had they suspected that the resulting Federal entity could interpret it any way they wanted.
