A week-old foal and a pregnant mare were amongst 8 horses killed in an Ohio barn fire that is believed to be a gay hate crime.
The arsonist left a message painted on the charred walls of the barn including "fags are freaks" and "burn in hell". The horses were worth in the hundreds of thousands of dollars but owner Mr Whitehouse is not concerned about the money.
He is grieving the loss of his beloved horses, and quoted as saying "Whoever did this had to walk right by all those horses, including the baby, and didn´t care that they were killing a gentle loving animal."
