Elizabeth Whitfield and her two sons, Jacob and Kenneth, moved into a mobile home earlier this month that was infested with insects so she bought three bug foggers to get rid of them. When that didn't work, she set off four more in the coming weeks.
She called 911 on Sunday to say that Jacob had trouble breathing. When the paramedics arrived they took all three to the hospital for treatment. Jacob, aged 10 months, died from exposure while Kenneth, age 2, is on a respirator in critical condition.
Elizabeth was covered in the chemicals so the hospital took her clothes and had her shower, once released she had to be admitted for breathing problems. The Sheriff said they are worried about the mother and son; neglect isn't suspected.
