China: A newborn baby with two heads has been rescued from an irrigation ditch in the middle of the night by police responding to calls saying there was a baby crying somewhere.
Police initially didn't notice anything out of the ordinary but when they cleaned the debris off the infant they found that he had a second head with features that are only partially formed.
"He is completely healthy except for his two heads. It's too early to talk about surgery yet. But it is amazing that he survived after being dumped in the ditch. It was filled with rubbish and mud and old water," said his carer Yuan Xianrong.
