Convicted white supremacist gangster Billy Joe Johnson, 46, convinced an Orange County jury to recommend his transfer to death row, where he believes better amenities exist.
Johnson, who received a 45-year-to-life sentence earlier this month, told jurors about two other murders he committed in order to convince them to sentence him to death, saying that he deserved it.
The victim, Scott Miller, accused of divulging gang secrets, was killed by two men in an alley where Johnson had taken him. Johnson's attorney said he doesn't want to live past 65-70 anyway, which is when he says his appeals will be exhausted.
