Fallout 3 has been handed the prestigious title of being the Game of the Year at the gaming industry's night of nights, the Golden Joysticks. The show also went into the Guinness Book of Records this year, under the Most Popular Video Game Awards.
1.2 million people in the UK voted for the various different categories. LittleBigPlanet won family game of the year, but the big winner was the Call of Duty franchise, which won three awards.
Game publishers Activision Blizzard were awarded a top prize, going home with the Publisher of the Year Joystick. One organiser said: "Many of the winners... demonstrate that UK talent remains crucial to the success of this industry..."
