In September, 9-year-old Jordan Taylor was in an auto accident and was nearly decapitated. When he was taken to the ER his skull was severed from his vertebrae. Doctors gave him a 1-2 percent chance of survival. Today he is getting ready to go home.
When a dump truck hit the car, the energy from impact lifted Jordan's head off his neck and moved it forward. The connective tissues were also destroyed. Dr Roberts reconnected his head to his neck with a metal plate, titanium rods, and screws.
Jordan's mother Stacey Perez says she screamed when she saw him and just wanted him to wake up. News soon got out to her church and then to about 20 other churches which she claims helped save her son along with the doctor whom she calls a "Godsend."
