Mugabe's Party Likely to Win in New Poll Recount

Zimbabwe's state-run newspaper reported that President Mugabe's ruling party have won an additional parliamentary seat which is significant as it could give back power to President Mugabe party which lost control for the first time.

Up to this time no official results have been reported from the recent presidential election, although it is widely believed that Mugabe's ruling ZANU-PF party lost to the opposition for the first time in Mugabe 28 yr presidency.

A columnist in the local newspaper Dr. Obediah Mazombwe said regional leaders, along with "the int'l community," could bring together key players: Mugabe's party, the opposition, former colonial ruler Britain and the US and form a unity government.
