Comedian David Spade Donates Money to Slain Cop's Family
 

David Spade, comedian and actor, has given $25,000 to the widow and children of a Phoenix, Arizona, police officer to help them with financial difficulties.

Spade was moved to make the donation when he learned of the unfortunate demise of the officer who had also beaten cancer.

The officer was shot dead by an illegal immigrant last month according to the police.

Congrats. It's good to see donations haven't gone out of fashion when it's so needed.

It's not wise to defend Fox in your first posting though. There are numerous other sources and many with less ulterior motives. And in this case, more than three paragraphs of source.

On the incident, it was a pointless waste of life when a scumbag takes a father's life. It's hard for me not to feel the need for revenge. I almost wish they took him alive.

Yes it was nice of David Spade to do this, but it is blatant publicity grabbing. There are many people killed that need this money too, do cop's families not get some kind of pension/ life insurance?
Many families are torn apart and have neither of these.
