Endangered Sea Turtles Set Nesting Record in Florida

Biologists says the endangered green sea turtle reaches groundbreaking nesting records in Florida.

Scientists and volunteers counted more than 12,000 of sea turtle nests along the Southeastern coast, breaking the record that was set during the year 2013 (11,839 nests).

Biologist Kate Mansfield calls it "a comeback story" as only less than 50 turtles were monitored at the beaches in the 1980s.
