Man Tears Tendon After Playing "Candy Crush" All Day for Weeks

Surgeons in San Diego, California reportedly treated a man who tore a tendon in his thumb after playing "Candy Crush Saga" on his smartphone "all day for 6 to 8 weeks".

The man, whose name was not made public, had to undergo surgery to fix the problem. The addiction to the game actually helped the man perceive less pain.

"The potential for video games to reduce pain perception raises clinical and social considerations about excessive use, abuse, and addiction," doctors say.
